Most of the people are Castilians in Madrid, since they have adopted Roman Catholicism as their religion. People in Madrid celebrate different festivals, enjoy late night foods and adventure game like bullfights with full zest and zeal.

Most of the territories have been covered with Castilians, but there are also Spanish people from different ethnic groups such as- Catalanians, Valencians, Andalucians and Gallegos. Beside these, there are also large numbers of people who have migrated from different countries like China, Peru, Romania, North Africa, Latin America, Ecuador and Middle East due to which Madrid is also recognized as cosmopolitan city throughout the world. Most of the foreigners had migrated between the period 1950s and 1960s when the industrial development campaigns were carried out.
