There are many traditional monuments in the history of Madrid which are visited by local as well as international visitors as cultural attractions. Aranjuez is one of the historical cities which is situated about 46 km southern part of Madrid.
Aranjuez is most important city which was founded during the regime of Felipe II in 1560 and named as Villa in1899. It is the royal resident with full of natural and cultural heritage due to which it was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001.
The history of Aranjuez goes back to 220 BC when the Hannibal's armed force destroyed the Roman. Alfano VI found out the new territories and expanded it to the Toledo in the 11th century. The expansion and development of the city was continuously carried out by different rulers till Spanish independent war. Finally, it became the most important part of Madrid. It is known as the municipality of Madrid in present days. This city has been surrounded by different cultural sites such as San Antonio Church, Hill forts which is situated about 640 m southeast of the city, Tagus River,Royal Palace, Appllo Power.

How to reach Aranjuez?
By Train: Most of the visitors visit Aranjuez by train. If you are visiting this city, you will get the train from Atocha train station in Madrid that takes about an hour to reach there.
By Bus: There are many buses in every half an hour from Madrid to Aranjuez that also takes about an hour to reach there.
By Car: If you are traveling by car, it will be better to take a map of Aranjuez. It is just 47 km south of Madrid which you will reach within an hour.
